Maximizing Human Output
Put in the effort: intentionally craft your digital environment and become a scientist of your own body
Maximizing Human Output
Ever since a coach told me I was too small to play college baseball, I’ve been fascinated by maximizing the human body’s output. Never the best and usually the smallest, I always found unique ways to maximize my (now) 5’9” frame.
I obsessively threw, threw, and threw some more. As an early adopter of weighted ball programs, my teenage mission was to engineer my body to throw a 5 ounce baseball as fast as my body allowed.
It worked. My insatiable curiosity and obsession helped transform me into a Division I athlete, proving to myself, coaches, and teammates’ parents that thought I was too small to play at the next level.
While I’m no longer focused on throwing leather spheres as hard as possible, I’m chasing the best version of myself with the same curiosity. This same passion for pushing my own limits led me to appreciate the groundbreaking work of Dr. Andrew Huberman. Before we nerd out on how he’s revolutionizing how we approach human performance and well-being, let me get to the main point…
Become a Scientist of your own Body
You can and should be the scientist of your own body and mind.
And I’ve got good news for you… It’s never been easier in human history. Andrew Huberman is spoon feeding us high-quality science supported, health-promoting information.
He’s encouraging us to live a more vibrant life in tune with the cyclical patterns and frequencies of life. A life full of more moments where you say “damn it feels great to be alive”.
Introducing Andrew Huberman, Ph.D.
Andrew Huberman, Ph.D. is the Professor of Neurobiology at Stanford. He shares science supported health-promoting ways to live a better life. If you’ve somehow missed the (free) media empire he’s building, check out his podcast on Spotify, YouTube, website, and more.
It blows my mind that this information is available… for free. It behooves me that more people don’t try to soak it up like a sponge.
You too can leverage the technology and resources at your disposal to understand yourself better and enable your lifestyle and future self to be as vibrant as possible. We’re living in the Post-Huberman (PH) Era.
Living in the “PH Era” (Post-Huberman)
Thanks to Dr. Huberman (and many others linked below), science is being democratized, organized and synthesized better than ever. You no longer can dismiss something because you don’t have a mechanistic understanding of it.
Human performance is defined as “the ability to perform consistently at our best in the environment within which we are operating at that moment”.
Simply put, it’s showing up as your best self as consistently as possible in this crazy world. Showing up as the best father, mother, son, chef, citizen, entrepreneur employee, friend… the list goes on.
It’s easier than ever to join this movement. You can be a scientist of your own body without being a biohacker for the first time in human history.
All you have to do is know who to trust and where to look. In a world filled with endless noise, Dr. Huberman and other industry leaders below are the signal.
All you need to put in the effort to choose the right environments that allow your mind (and body) to grow beautifully. I implore you to dive in below.
To good health.
Adam

Excellent article! I, too, am a Huberman Lab fan . . . and being the scientist of one’s own mind and body.
awesome info! Will be a Huberman fan! He reminds me a bit of Dr. Amen who I follow also. Hope you are great out there in Cali!!!
