Love this, Adam!! First piece I’m reading of yours and it resonates with me deeply. Spending a lot of time these days trying to find peace in just being. It’s hard to do when our ego and mass culture tell us to speed up, which is exactly why we need nourishing voices like yours to say “keep going!”

The Sabbath is magical. Whenever I disconnect even just for the Friday night sabbath meal I think "Why don't I do this every week? Why don't I let it continue unto the next day?" Definitely an instance where it seems people millennia ago understood something profound about how to live a good life.
